Yesterday, we covered 37signal’s new mobile version of Basecamp.
On a recent blog post, DHH mentioned the Cinco framework which is an internal project they used to build out the mobile version of their site.
He also gave a heads up on some things to look forward to:

This doesn’t surprise me one bit although it still saddens me that it happens:
Sina.com and Netease.com — two of the nation’s biggest online portals — blocked keyword searches of the word “Egypt,” though the mass protests were being discussed on some Internet chat rooms on Monday. Searching for “Egypt” has also been blocked on Weibo, the Chinese equivalent of Twitter.Censoring the Internet is not the only approach. The Chinese government has also tried to get out ahead of the discussion, framing the Egyptian protests in a few editorials and articles in state-controlled news publications as a chaotic affair that embodies the pitfalls of trying to plant democracy in countries that are not quite ready for it — a line China’s leaders have long held.
Censorship is bad news. The people of China have the right to know what’s going on globally.

Ah. Looks so inviting.
I’m seriously considering one of these 4G USB Modems by Verizon so I can stay connected wherever I go.
I’ll be honest and admit that I’ve never really used one before so I’ve got zero personal experience with this type of equipment. Any thoughts? Worth it?
Any other suggestions?
I think I was amused by not only the content but the two guys sharing the info. The guy on the right made me #LOL.
Great stuff though:
ActiveStorage has introduced ActiveSAN, a metadata controller appliance that incorporates ‘stunning’ Active Storage product design and the rock-solid performance, and as we said it is good for XSAN and StorNext networks… and it won’t clash with your ‘legacy’ Xserve array. The appliance is a 1U device on a Xeon processor. There’s dual redundant power supplies, up to 8GB of RAM and more — it looks like a lovely replacement for all you Xserve users out there.
Thanks 9to5 for the info.
