Yeah I was disappointed. I thought it would be better.

I was really hoping for a new Yoko Ono album. 🙁

Ha! My </sarcasm tag at the end was lost. Seriously though, </sarcasm.
J. D. Bentley says
You are definitely not the only one. I couldn’t care less about the Beatles. I was hoping for the all-you-can-eat subscription rumor.
Andrew says
I like the Beatles and I couldn’t care less about this announcement. Very underwhelmed.
Nathan says
It was a web announcement, not a live event so I wasn’t expecting any major announcement. I know this is a big deal to Apple and Jobs, specifically, because they’ve been trying to land the Beatles for years.
Graham says
word… I like the simplicity of the announcement.
Andy Coticchio says
I guess they were going for the understated elegance look. But it beats the screaming you heard during the Ed Sullivan show appearances.
David says
the beatles?
that was the thing that happened today that i’ll never forget?
i don’t even like the beatles…
blegh…
J.C. says
def not the only one…
2 big fails in a row for me from Apple…
That awful logo and now this ridiculous let down.
Jimmy King says
I’m with you on this, but I definitely anticipated disappointment.
Travis Fish says
Yeah it was, but should have seen it coming.
A web announcement is bound to be small.
And it is a big step for iTunes.
Stephen Bateman says
But it isn’t a big step for customers.
That was why I was #meh
Erik Scottberg says
Agreed. Very underwhelming. I can see how it’s a big deal for Apple to have them on iTunes, but the hype just didn’t match the announcement.
Douglas Porter says
I was also “meh” but it did get me to finally look up what the big deal was. Never new before yesterday: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Corps_v_Apple_Computer
Chris Loach says
yea i liked this better…

it’s not like you couldn’t buy the beatles in stores before…
BenJPickett says
Love the Beatles. Some of the best song writers and musicians to ever grace a study and they did truly shape in inovate the music scene in ways that no one has since.
But really? A big anouncement? I don’t see this netting apple a small fortune or being a big win simply because those who want the music have already bought it, and those that don’t have it that do want it will be probably buy it in a form of higher quality than what iTunes offers as a download.
