We recently announced a Giveaway for Microsoft’s new Arc Touch Mouse and it finally came so that we could give it a whirl.
Here are some of my first impressions as well as my unboxing:

I’ll give you an idea later after I use it for a bit, but it’s not looking too good right now.
The scrolling is making me sad.

I would have laughed if you opened the box and there was a Pen inside.

If you like the mouse cursor speed on the arc mouse, you can download better touch tool (http://boastr.net/) and set the mouse speed higher for the magic mouse than you can with just system preferences. It also lets you customize gestures for the magic mouse / touchpad. That and quicksilver are the two applications i couldnt live without on my mac

I use the original Arc Mouse (as well as the Arc Keyboard) as my primary mouse, and it was also crazy fast when I first set it up. I adjusted the settings a little bit, and have really come to like it. I’ve never had a mouse that feels as good in my hand as this one. That said, I don’t know if the features of the new one will be enough for me to switch… since I use this mouse with my desktop (I have another smaller one that I use with the netbook), the “snap” doesn’t really do much for me, and I’m not impressed by what I’ve heard/seen of the touch scrolling. Curious to find out how you like it down the road.

Thanks for showing, John! Which is more comfortable, the magic mouse or arc touch?
