I LOVE Twitter. I’ve made new friends on there and it’s generally a great place to be on.
However… they’ve recently started sending out ‘Top Tweets and Stories’ emails which drove me mad! I can understand that they might be useful if you’re not a regular tweet checker, but if you’re on it most of the time, or manage several different twitter accounts like myself, it’s really a bit overkill!
So if you want to stop the emails, here’s how:
How to Turn Off Twitter’s ‘Top Tweets and Stories’ Emails
On the bottom of the emails themselves there’s a little link you can click:
But this might not work on some mobile systems… and/or if you want to stop the emails before another is sent. You can login into Twitter (via http://twitter.com), go to your account settings (click the little person on the top right and choose settings from the dropdown) and then go to ’email notifications’ or use this link to go directly there: http://twitter.com/settings/notifications
The magic box you need to uncheck is the ‘Top Tweets and Stories’ one (strangely enough!):
Click ‘Save Changes’ and you’re done.
