The last one is my absolute fave. Ice-cube guts!

Oh, and the attention to detail! Wolverines’ claws look just like the ejecta from the lightcyles (slight angular dip upward as it leaves the knuckles, same angles). Snnikt!

SKA-DOOSH!!!

Hello, … Just a quick question, maybe I’m missing something..
I read the name of your site “churchmag” and I read an article full of “marvel” pictures? (totally pagan culture). Im 40, and back then, those things were really *NOT* encouraged in Church, and certainly *NOT* encouraged towards kids as what they reflect is the total opposite to what we call “godly”.
Thoses things reflect everything that is against God or godly models, instead it is really idolatry (= power, fame, etc…) not to talk about the definitly obvious occult side of the “heroes”.. They probably are nothing but very similar to maybe some true devils that inspired those Marvel authors back then..
I am really chocked that you guys cant make the difference… Living as a christian is pretty far from what those “devilish” things reflect…
Dont get me wrong, i grew up with that stuff, and boy, im pretty happy that I grew up into adulthood and left that way behind..
I do not judge the fact that some chtistians may at times watch one of these movies, thats none of my business, and i certainly do not judge peeps, but I am certainly chocked that thoses get published and promoted (???) on a “churchmag” website?? What the..
Am i missing something?

Hey Alex, you should get a gravatar:

Hey, thank you but no.
And that was not the point of my post, weither or not I need a square pic to represent myself over the internet.
But thanks anyway
Alex says
The 4th pic is clearly a devil …. Look his head??
Excuse me sir, but if you find “inspiration” in those things as a christian, and encourage young people to do the same, you clearly have a problem… Faith and living as a christian is not a game… What the…
Especially when you promote this in public over the internet…
Im clearly chocked . Plus these are totally awfull and I certainly want nothing to do xith what they represent or “inspire”… Seriously?? Dang it
Eric Dye says
You see, the reason why the 4th pic looks so much like a “devil,” is because he is a BAD guy.
Alex says
So you find this “bad devil guy” very cool or something, to the point of printing it and display it on a “churchmag” site? Or maybe on your teeshirt? Is that right or am i missing something?
You know, some people fight hard for their 7 yo kids NOT to fall in love with these devilish things … And now these kids type “churchmag” on google and they find those?
Seriously..
Im far from beeing idiot, and i know you are “trying” to “explore” in some ways (well…) worldish culture, etc inovation, you want to be on the cutting edge etc whatever you want to call it.
But the problem is that you are cutting yourslef and others deeply with this cutting edge.
So im far from beeing idiot or beein a jerk saying “you fool” etc.. Ive veen a designer too, i have had my company (15+ employees) i know what design, inspiration is.
And im totaly chocked to see your affirmations on the top of this post:
“marvel comics? Yes please”
This sounds like a 10 yo boy.
Marvel comics ? NO please. Not for me, not for my kids…
Some people r trying to give some values and clean culture to their kids, and now they go to church and people say “gimme Marvel”…
I dont care at all if the guy sitting next to me in church reads Marvel. Its his own business.
Now u are not the guy next 2 me in church.
You are a christian website with 17k rss reader, and some ppl *may* think what you write is all right, and thus gonna have influence.
Ur not the guy sitting next to me in church. U have a responsability with what u publish, if you have a little bit of integrity.
And marvel has nothing to do in church. Else, we are not talking about the same church or same faith or same God, in that case all is ok and go on publishing what ever u like.
Anyway theres a differrnce between having a marvel book at your house and publishing it here in public under the word “church”
If you dont get this, there us a serious problem somewhere..
