I was really surprised to see the top ten coffee drinking countries at first glance!
Living in Italy, I can tell you there’s a lot of cups of coffee drank in a day…
…but then I realized this is the amount of coffee consumed in kilograms per person!
No wonder Italy didn’t make the top ten:

It’s interesting to see that it’s the Northern areas that consume the most—warm beverages are best there. Meanwhile, all of the harvest countries are where it’s hot!
Also, you’ll notice the divide in governments between the countries that produce versus the countries that consume.
