There were more than a few businesses and organizations at Catalyst Conference who were using QR codes for entering people into conferences as well as getting more information of their org.
I thought this was a really neat execution and definitely caught your eye.
What do you think of the use of this technology at a booth at a conference? Effective? Worth the effort?

I kinda like that they’re rewarding the geekiest users by associating QR codes to winning an iPad. But the designer in me is saddened to see over a third of a tall banner taken up with what is essentially a barcode. 🙁
