Google just rolled out a major update to their web API’s that makes it much easier to manage projects that utilize their data stores.
In addition to performing updating to their API documentation, they’ve also rolled out a new API Test Console.
The Google API Console is meant to make it much easier for developers to interface with and manage Google’s APIs and data. Along with rolling out the new console, they’ve also provided updates to Custom Search, Translate, and Web Search.
To get started, you just login with your Google account after which you’re presented with the following screen:
Once logged in, you’ll be asked to create a new project:
After that, you’ll be presented with a list of all of the available APIs, details on each, the ability to activate them and begin interfacing with them:
Love this – so much cleaner and easier to manage than their previous efforts.
