Watched the press release from end to end today and was very excited about the release of the iPad 2, coming very shortly!
The question of course is this: Will you be getting one?
Check out some of the screens still over at Engadget.
This is also worth noting from Steve:
It’s in Apple’s DNA that technology is not enough. It’s tech married with the liberal arts and the humanities. Nowhere is that more true than in the post-PC products. Our competitors are looking at this like it’s the next PC market. That is not the right approach to this. These are pos-PC devices that need to be easier to use than a PC, more intuitive.
I like that.

This seems to be tightening integration with the mac. I don’t have a mac, I wonder how much Apple is intentionally trying to pull people over to the Mac computer world with iPads.
I honestly have thought about getting a second ipad so both girls can play with one. (I know a 2 and 3 year old with their own ipads is a bit ridiculous). But what they can do with an ipad really amazes me. The 3 year old still have a very hard time operating a regular computer because of the mouse. But the 2 year old (turns 2 next week) have been using the ipad since it originally came out.
I would like faster and cameras and the cover is very cool. Will I buy one…not sure.

The new iPad looks pretty sweet, and I’ll probably end up getting one for my wife, but I’m sticking with the Xoom for myself. Having a real Gmail app on there saves me SO much time that 60,000 other apps really don’t make a big difference.
While I agree with Jobs about approaching the post-PC era, I find it funny that the iPad is still chained so heavily to a computer. An Android device will do everything (even firmware updates) on its own, but an iPad is a paperweight without iTunes and a USB cable. I hope they fix that soon.
