We are constantly on a quest to make things more easy for us in the tech space because every single second that you spend doing something is time gone from doing other such things.
If we can simplify the process then we will, and apparently a few guys have made it super easy to Jailbreak your iPhone.
All you have to do is visit this site, http://www.jailbreakme.com, on your mobile device and bing-bang-boom.
Done and done.
And remember folks, this is now completely legal.

I’ve been thinking about going through with the jailbreak but from what i’ve heard none of the Cydia stuff is formatted for the retina display yet. So I’m torn by ugly, non-retina display supported apps and being able to use FaceTime over 3G.
Matthew Snider says
You can use Facetime over 3g with a program that tweaks the iPhone to tell it it is using Wifi while on 3g. That wont change your facetime. As for retina, eh while its worth it, the majority of what you will use is tools, rather than straight out applications.
MyWi rocks though.

This is taking us back to the old days of jailbreak that started on a website such as this. Glad it’s back and working well on my iPhone 4 now. It is legal yes, BUT it still does void the warranty for sure.
MyWi for my my iPad for the win!

Would you be willing to share the downsides of jailbreaking the iPhone4 besides voiding the warranty?
Adam Lehman says
yeah. sounds like an interesting blog post…..

Well that is a big question to be honest. If you install third party apps on the phone they don’t go through any kind of Q and A process besides their own private testing. This could open up all sorts of issues. Security issues, battery draining issues etc.
Now with that said, most of the larger apps that you would go for , sbsettings, mywi, winterboard, backgrounder etc have thousands and thousands of users. I think its a safe thing as you can always restore using itunes back to normal non jailbroken iPhone.
With it being so easy, more of less time consuming, I think its worth the jump and at least grab winterboard to change up your icons look etc. MyWi is a must for me and my iPad at work.
