I always find the internet an amusing place to be on April Fools Day, and it seems that today is no exception. I imagine that we will see all sorts of creativity online!
To get us started, here are a couple that I’ve already come across today.
Google Motion
The mouse and keyboard were invented before the Internet even existed. Since then, countless technological advancements have allowed for much more efficient human computer interaction. Why then do we continue to use outdated technology? Introducing Gmail Motion — now you can control Gmail with your body.

New .dave Top Level Domain
Word reaches us here at 123-reg of a top secret plan to be unveiled by the internet community later this year: the first in a series of name-based domain names.
.dave will become the first personal name-based domain name extension, with plans to have the same available for general release in time for Christmas.
More info on the 123-reg blog.
Screenless BlackBerry
BlackBerry announced its latest business smartphone today, but with a twist: it doesn’t feature a screen.
“We know our strengths — our strengths are email and our keyboard,” said RIM designer Elliot Pouce at the press launch for the company’s new mobile phone, the Dauntless. “This whole touchscreen thing is a fad. In fact, the whole screen thing is a fad.”
The Dauntless eliminates the need for a screen by having haptic response built into the keyboard — each keystroke is confirmed using Morse code-patterned vibrations.

MOO-D Cards and MOO-D Ink
Available in the four CMYK colours – Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black – MOO-D ElectroInk works just like the ink we use to print your existing cards with one additional benefit – mood detection technology!
Through a complex chemical process, we’ve been able to trap liquid thermochromatic crystals in the MOO-D Ink to provide your cards with mood detection functionality. The crystal-infused ink, similar to the crystals found in mood rings, is responsive to the emotions or feelings of the person holding the card.
When meeting new people for the first time it can sometimes be tricky to know what makes them ‘tick. As a designer you’ll now be able to tell if a client is ‘warm’ to your idea. When networking you’ll quickly be able to see if your new contact is going to be a dream or a nightmare to work with. The ways you can use MOO-D technology to help you get the edge in your industry are endless!
As we hadn’t planned on announcing this product until later this year, we don’t have packaging or fully tested products to offer you just yet. However, thanks to the intruders sharing their video with us, we’re actually able to show you MOO-D Ink in action:
