I know a number of people that actually create the styles for their website by loading up the markup in the browser, write the CSS in tools such as Firebug or Chrome’s Developer Tools, and then export the styles to a CSS file.
One of the frustrations of actually writing your styles this way is that content is often lost on page refreshes, but it doesn’t have to be that way.

Stylebot is a Google Chrome Extension that allows you to modify the CSS of any page and actually save it and use it again over page refreshes. Kinda cool, if you’re a fan of this workflow.
