I knew that Facebook had a decent link life and that Twitter was fairly short.
But, I had no idea StumbleUpon had this awesome of a lifespan!
If you don’t know much about StumbleUpon, watch this short overview, otherwise, on to the infographic!

Nice infographic. This confirms the publishing habits I have been taking for a client where we are trying to ramp up exposure and engagement with a specific audience.
In my experience, the success of submitting to SU is based largely upon how accurate and appropriate your submission is — tags and description should be fair and representative. If it is an eccomerce page, say so. Don’t bait and switch with your descriptions. And don’t stumble each and every page in your index. And spend time stumbling other related pages on other sites in your niche.
If you are successful in your submission meta, this is how you can get multiple visits by the user since they will bookmark cool finds to come back later. That’s how I have found SU to be. Hope that helps!

Well, I actually just started using StumbleUpon in response to this post.
I downloaded the StumbleUpon toolbar for Firefox. I guess for people who run websites, you can use this tool to like your posts. (It lets you put the content into the service, and you can put your content into the right categories.)
It seems like a good way to build some new traffic to your site. Hopefully, once people see you have rockin’ content, they’ll like it as well.
