If you’re looking at this from the perspective of a casual Internet user, and wondering, “What does this mean to me?” look at it this way. The people who create web sites are predominantly using FireFox, then Safari, then Chrome as they do their work. Therefore if you want to see the most error-free and full featured version of the Internet… you should do the same.
Also, web developers are some macbook totin’, iphone yappin’ fools.

Opera has always been the first browser I test my development work in. It is the most standards compliant and consistent when rendering markup. The browser might not have the market share of the rest, but I would have expected a greater percentage to be using it to test their work.
