If you’ve been out of the “online-loop” over the holidays, you may have missed our write-ups on each of the 8BIT Premium WordPress Themes — Developer Theme, Live Theme, Pro Photo Theme and Standard Theme.
Today is the last day you can take advantage of receiving 30% off all these 8BIT themes, but what may be even more exciting than 30% off some of the best WordPress themes on the market, is the announcement of Standard Theme 3.0.
All of the 8BIT themes have been updated this month, with Standard Theme receiving the most love.
Check out these updates to Standard Theme 2.7:
- Replaced all ereg_replace with preg_replace for PHP compatibility.
- Added a better way to include favicons that’s compatible with all versions of major browsers (including IE6/7/8/9).
- Updated mobile device viewport setting to include scrolling sharers.
- Fixed a problem in how $_SERVER[“SERVER_ADDR”] versus $_SERVER[“SERVER_NAME”] performs.
- Fixed HTML in post and pages titles for SEO titles.

- Now creating SEO title for year archives.

directory’) with stylesheet_directory_uri(). - Replaced attribute_escape() with esc_attr().

This is just the beginning.
Standard Theme 3.0 is a complete re-write of 8BIT’s Standard Framework and user interface on the front end.
Here are a few features you can look when Standard Theme 3.0 drops this January:
- Mobile ready.
- Major refresh of the modern look.
- Distinct stylings of each post type such as images, videos, quotes, links, etc.
- Standard Framework reboot. How about writing your own theme admin panel in 15 mins or less?
So, why purchase a Standard Theme Support License, today, and not in January?
Here’s the word, straight from the 8:
This deal will not be in effect when Standard 3.0 launches in January, but if you purchase a support license today, you will get access to our download area which includes all past and future versions of the theme for life. Not to mention great technical support and access to a beta version in December.
If you’re thinking about upgrading your Standard Theme license from Standard to Support or want to get your digital digits on the greatest WordPress theme to have ever been built, take advantage of 8BIT’s 30% off, now!
Today’s the last day, and with Standard Theme 3.0 on the horizon, this is best time to buy.
