Database administration isn’t necessarily the most glamorous aspect of development so when it comes to finding a slick frontend to help ease the pain of managing my tables, I’m all for it.
There’s definitely a fair share of applications out there that seek to make the experience as painless as possible, but when it comes to a simple, lightweight, web-based solution, it’s hard to beat SQLBuddy.
Check it out.
I’m all about mirroring my development and production environmentes and with SQLBuddy being a web-based solution, my database management experience is seamless.
SQLBuddy is no frills. It carries all the features you’d expect of a database frontend and nothing more. To sweeten the deal, it’s a highly Ajax-ified application so there are very few page refreshes (which isn’t the case with many other web-based solutions).
I think it’s clear that this particular frontend is my weapon of choice. What’s yours?

I’ve got MySQL Workbench installed on my laptop for my development environment, don’t find it particularly easy to use though. Generally I just use phpMyAdmin, SQLBuddy looks like it’s worth a look though.

Yeah, I’m with you. I used PHPMyAdmin for a long time and then SQLBuddy showed up and I’ve not looked back.
