I am an audiophile, but probably not as hardcore as a number of the readers here.
There was a time, though, when I did try to do a lot of “mixing” of elements and even considered opening up a flash-based web store selling some musical tracks and loops.
Luckily for me (and the rest of the world) I discovered that I honestly really sucked at it and that my time would best be spent doing web design and development (amongst other things).
I wish I had known about SoundJay.com though back then, because I could have used a lot of these royalty free sound effects.
Dopeness.
So, any other resources out there that you use for your sound production and audio needs?

iStockphoto.com does freebies for audio once a month (as well as vectors & videos).
They also do a free photo of the week.
Generally with each of these of offerings you can go back up to three (months, weeks respectively) and still get the hookup.
