Even though I’m a ardent fan and user of SnagIt Beta for the Mac I’m all for using a number of different apps that do relatively the same thing.
Someone showed me this the other day and it is simply the easiest website screen grab software available and I couldn’t believe I didn’t know about it!
Check it out:
Page Capture is a simple widget that is super easy and super fast to use. It doesn’t matter how long the page is, it’ll just grab the entire thing and save it to your computer.
Some features:
- Captures entire web pages no matter how long they may scroll for.
- Easy to use: type or paste a URL – hit Return or click the logo.
- Uses Safari’s powerful and fast WebKit rendering engine.
- Check for new versions by clicking the version displayed on the back.
- Automatically resize the image (default is 50%).
- Free!
Sweet!
As you can see, I tested it on a long website, Mashable, and it came out fine. The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t add that nice browser border and shadow that’s built into Mac’s native screen grab.
Oh well. You can’t have the world…!
