Have you ever wanted to share more than one URL on Twitter?
How about sharing more than one link on some other social media platform?
I’ve seen it done a number of times, and I’ve done it myself. The result is usually a number of wasted Twitter characters lost on gibberish shortened URLs that have no particular identification. In some cases, I’ve wondered if the sender had made an error.
There are, however, a few different web tools that are excellent for sending out multiple links in one shorted URL.
Here are two different options, one requiring a sign-in, while the other you just paste, create, and Tweet:
BridgeURL
Bridge URL is nothing fancy.
You give your URL a title, drop in your URLs one line at a time, and create the link.
Simple stuff, here, folks.
Ta-da! Bridge created!
They provide you with a full URL, shortened URL, and a quick and easy, “Tweet this.”
You can “Open link” and give it a test drive, and you can also pull-up all your attached links listed on one page. Another option you might want to consider when sending it out.
If you go with the default, this is what your followers will find:
It takes them to the first link on your list. On the right and left hand side is a transparent navigation, that fills-in on a mouse-over.
You can view the page and easily navigate over to the next links.
If you’re not going to be bundling your links very often, this is a tool worth bookmarking for those times you need it.
Check out the BridgeURL website.
Bitly
Oh, yes, Bitly is a major player in the short URL game.
I’ve actually avoided it because of that. It turns out I had an account from a while back, and now I’m ashamed I was so stuck-up about it all.
Bitly has bundling built in. You can add your links as usual, it shortens them, and then you click, “Bundle.”
Once they’re bundled, you’re good to go.
Bitly gives you stats and everything. I need to try out their new Chrome app for sure!
Once you’ve created your bundle, here are your options:
- Your bundle is stored in your link history, so you can go back and add or remove links when you want.
- Arrange the order of your links in the bundle.
- Give your links titles and notes.
- Share your bundles with your friends on Facebook and Twitter.
- Discuss your bundle using the comments feature.
- Track your bundles performance with bitly’s info + functionality.
That’s hawt.
This is what a bundle of links appear to your followers and friends:
Nice.
All this candy, plus some seriously robust options.
Bitly. Check it out.
Conclusion
These two flavors should get you moving in the right direction when it comes to bundling and combining your links.
BridgeURL is a nice, quick, simple, no strings attached way to bundle up multiple links, whereas Bitly gives you enough options to take link sharing to an entirely new level.
I think I’ll be playing around with some Bitly bundles.
