It’s the first Saturday Sunday Share of 2013!
Let’s mix it up a little bit as we kick-off the New Year. 😀
First, a quick look back at last week’s Saturday Sunday Share:
- Raoul Snyman – got Instagram, and it shows. 😀
- Tony Perez – launched a new blog! 🙂
- Paul Clifford – is keeping the faith. 😀
This week on Saturday Sunday Share, let’s do things a little different.
Instead of sharing what you did last week, tell us what you would like to accomplish in 2013.
What might we look forward to you sharing in the weeks, months and year to come?
Let’s see what you’ve got!

1. Development releases of OpenLP 2.2
Well, we’ve got a lot of work ahead of us with OpenLP, we’re hoping to have a couple of alpha releases, and maybe 1 or 2 beta releases of OpenLP version 2.2 this year. Some of the guys have been talking about actually releasing 2.2 by the end of the year, but I’m not sure that will happen.
2. Rewrite Project Management App
I have a project management web app that is incomplete and gathering dust, and I’d really like to update it, complete it and get it back out there sometime this year (if possible). Not sure I will have the time, but I really want to do it.
3. Be the Bridesman
Not really a “goal”, but a rather big endeavour. A close friend of mine is getting married in June this year, and I am going to be her “bridesman” (like a bridesmaid, but a man – yeah, she’s almost as weird as me) and my eldest son is going to be the ring-bearer. More than just going to the wedding, we’re planning a road trip up to where my friend is getting married, so we’ll be travelling for over 3 days both ways. We’ll at least be spending about 2 weeks up there. Oh, and all of this with an almost-4 year old and a 10 month old.

Great stuff, man. What sets your Project Management App apart from the others?
Raoul Snyman says
Well, traditionally project management apps fall into 2 categories, a glorified ticketing system or a task management system. My idea is to combine the two in such a way that you can convert tickets to tasks and tasks to tickets. Of course as I go along my idea will morph somewhat and be refined, but that’s the basics of it.

It was a very productive week for me. Created a new child theme for Standard Theme called Three Column http://everchangingmedia.com/three-column/ . I also got some great feedback from peeps on premium child themes and would appreciate all of your feedback as well http://everchangingmedia.com/child-theme-pricing/ . Lastly, I wrote a post on creating an affiliate link short code for Standard Theme http://everchangingmedia.com/standard-theme-affiliate-link-shortcode/

Dang! Now THAT’s some shares! 😀

Thanks man! I’m finally getting into that blogging groove!

So in 2012, I published two books, wrote 2 1/2 more, started a youtube series on Propresenter 5, started my podcast again, and had some of my best months yet, having built websites and a video system for some churches and helped countless others with hundreds of books that I’ve given away or sold. That was last year.
This past week, I crossed the 10,000 follower mark on my main Twitter account. I’ve now got a few hundred subscribers to my newsletter and am told that 1,000 is a great goal on that.
I really don’t know how to make money at this yet, but I know how to make stuff and give a bunch of it away. I keep praying that that will eventually make decent money, but so far it’s still hard.
Soon, I expect to write (or shoot) something on last week’s project which was an “Apple Box,” a wooden box used for a lot of things in film and video production, but I built mine to be a stool in my home studio.
