Hello, Saturday Sunday Share.
Do you have anything to share this week?
Any projects you’ve finished, created, coded or recorded?
We would love to look, listen and reply!
Here’s a look at last week’s shares:
- Paul Alan Clifford – had a rough week, but is hanging in there with a healthy perspective.
- Raoul Snyman – is all about open source. 😀
How is September treating you so far?
Tell us about it!

This week I found a new Android KitKat in the shops[0] (and no, I didn’t win anything), I took my family our for a drive, and while we were out my wife hit level 8 in Ingress[1], and I got a new computer and loaded Debian on it[2] (and cleaned up my desk while I was at it).

One of the streaming services I’ve used has a neat feature that enables a video to loop constantly until I stream live. So, I’ve created a 90 minute loop of previous shows. Now, if you go to my site anytime day or night, you can watch my shows. I guess that makes my site the world’s first 24 hour church tech streaming network.
The problem is that it took me 6 hours to make this video between rendering, exporting, transcoding, and uploading. So, I think that if I use firepype (more on that later), I can do all the work except combining all the shows into one piece, but they’re saying that they might add that functionality, so my workflow might just eventually be: 1. Put show video in dropbox. 2. Download finished video. 3. Upload to host.
I don’t know that this is the final form, but I love the idea that people can see what I do even if they are always asleep during the live show.
I also wrote a fun article recommending 5 twitter accounts. You might like one of them, Eric. 😉 Check it out at: http://trinitydigitalmedia.com/2013/09/5-twitter-accounts-you-should-follow-that-you-probably-dont-yet/
