The Salvation Army has announced a collaborative partnership with Nadanu, the makers of eOffering, to create an app called “Fill The Kettle” which allows people to donate money via their iPhone, Blackberry, and even Facebook page:
The “Fill the Kettle app” provides a creative and interactive way for The Salvation Army to encourage and collect donations.
Modeled after a Salvation Army Kettle commonly found at department stores throughout the country during holiday season, donors drop virtual gold coins into the kettle and interact with the giving experience by visualizing the Kettle filling up and hearing the coins fall in.
This is a neat way to bring the offline into the online world via a mobile device and app.
