If you’re a Ruby or a Rails developer and you’v not set settled on an IDE, RubyMine is worth a look.
Though it’s not my preferred IDE, I toyed around with RubyMine a couple of months ago and was generally impressed with it.
From now until February 15th, JetBrains is selling the IDE at a discounted rate:
$29 down from $69. Not a bad option if you’re in the market for a serious upgrade to your Ruby development environment.

so what is your preferred IDE?
Tom McFarlin says
I typically use a Eclipse with a variety of plugins – it supports my workflow a little bit better, but RubyMine is a nice IDE if most of your work is done in that language.
