That’s what Cloudalize is proposing: Having your desktop based in the cloud for both personal and professional use.
Essentially it’s no different than running apps and using your system on your local box; you can even customize it as you wish. It’s just that the OS will be running remotely.
Connect via the internet on your PC, laptop, iPhone, iPad, or Android.
Thoughts? Is this something you’d do? Honestly, I’m not too interested (but I signed up to try it) and like my own system, thank you very much. I don’t think the “cloud” is the solution for everything, but if it fits your needs it might just work.

I agree. Not everything belongs in the cloud. And I see things like this becoming a headache when the users I support (higher ed. faculty/staff) discover things like this and want us to support it or replicate it.
