One of the best ways to maximize your time during the day is by setting aside specific times to check your email and social media. Face it, it’s easy to get lost on the web. Before you know it, you’ve spent the last half hour trolling from your Twitter feed, to Facebook, to a blog post, to the Apple App Store.
It just happens.
Combine that with some check-in syndrome and you’re day is gone and nothing’s been done.
When you do take the time in your day to check your social media and email, what do you do when there’s a link, webpage or blog post you would like to read?
You read it or watch it immediately. Unfortunately, this is a great way to wreck efficiency and time management.
Save it for later!
At the end of your day, when you’re at home or waiting in line at the supermarket, take the time view all those things you’ve captured during the day or past week.
Here’s a great app to get you started:

It’s called, Pocket, but you may remember hearing about it when it was still called, Read It Later.
What I love the most about Pocket, other than the fact that it’s totally free, is it works across so many different platforms:
Save for later — articles, videos and more — directly from your browser or apps like Twitter, Flipboard, Pulse or from over 300 other apps!
Once you’ve saved it and you’re ready to read or watch on your own time, view your Pocket from your iPhone, iPad, Android, Kindle Fire or in your browser.
How great is that!?!
Now you can “put it in your pocket” and take the time to digest the content when you’re ready to do it, not whenever you happen to come across it. This puts you in the drivers seat and puts you in control of when you spend time on the web.
Learn more and sign up for free on the Pocket website.
