Sure, the notes app looks nice and works as it should, but that’s about it.
PlainText is an iPhone app that looks nice and has a Dropbox syncing feature. Take notes, make to do lists, reminders or write anything else just like you would on the notes app, except this time it is instantly in sync with your computer.
Or edit on your computer and it syncs with your iphone. The app runs smoothly, looks nice, and keeps the simplicity of the iPhone and the original notes app. There is a free (ad-supported) version or an ad-free version for $5.
Definitely worth it if you’re a big Dropbox user!
Personally, Dropbox has become one of the most important tools that I use all of the time and this app compliments it so well.

This looks sick! Wish it was on Android!

PlainText is fantastic. Jesse Grosjean (http://hogbaysoftware.com) is a very talented developer. Make sure you take a look at his other Mac and iOS apps!
Personally I use PlainText for longer form writing on the iPad (quick edits to those pieces on the iPhone), and Simplenote for short “notes”.

It really is. Writeroom is a great app too for the Mac.
Sadly, the reviews for Writeroom on the iPhone say that he abandoned the app and left bugs.
Luckily, that isn’t the case with this app.

Personally, I never saw any use for WriteRoom on the iPhone, so I never bought it. However, I know for certain he is working on WriteRoom for iPad. Taking that into consideration (along with Jesse being such a classy guy), it’s highly unlikely he’s “abandoned” WriteRoom for iPhone. Also, his last update for iPhone was almost recent (July); I’d hardly consider that abandoned. His support forum for it is still pretty active as well.

It seemed as though he wouldn’t abandon them. I was just surprised at the amount of comments that said that.
