The war between Apple and Android fanboys has been around for many years and will probably flourish long past the current generation of smartphones, tablets, and operating systems available to you today. That being said, if you are a church or ministry leader, which one of these options is the better choice? We sit down with Jess Gruber and talk about what options you should consider.
- The Top 3 Reasons To Switch To Android
For Jesse, it is about the customization, the ability to share anywhere, and the Google application integrations. In many respects, I (Jeremy) think they have a better experience that iOS users simply will never get because of Apple’s stand on their private API. - The 2 Biggest Concerns With Android
While Android is a great option for many people, the average person may never be able to take advantage of most of the customization feature and the confusion that can come from these changes are definitely drawbacks. If that does not interest you, I would recommend giving Apple more attention. - For Jesse, It’s Android In The End
If you are a church leader in any way and do not have a stack in the Google or Apple ecosystems, it makes sense to consider going fully into the Android option. The cost is right, the apps are there, and you can get the features you want.

Interesting interview. I’m new to this community, but I know TC really well. I’d love to see a apple advocate added to this conversation!

Thad, it is interesting that you say that because I certainly am not all in Android and actually own mostly Apple produces. I’m assuming you mean someone that is anti-Android?
Thad White says
I don’t know that I’d say anti android. But I do think apple wasn’t given a fair shake in the interview. There were a few things talked about that apple actually has really good solutions for that we’re not talked about. For example compatibility of word documents and sharing.

We are limited in time as I push for only 10-15 minutes and this was to promote Android. No doubt that I think that Apple is superior in many areas that Android does not have, just did not have the time. I’d point you to the Apps of the Week (https://churchm.ag/ios-apps-reviews/) that for the first 20+ reviews were initially iOS exclusive.
What all would you add to the conversation if we could have extended the time?
