With Apple Stores across the United States and around the world, it’s hard to remember Steve Jobs humble beginnings, selling his first computer at his parent’s garage sale.
That same historic machine is now up for sale.
If you thought Apple products were expensive, you haven’t’ seen anything, yet!
This machine (pictured above) is on sale for a little over $240,000.
This was Steve Jobs’ early step toward the first publicly sold Apple-1.
The original Apple-1 that was launched back in 1976 with only about 200 units being produced.
The price in 1976?
$666.66
If you were to convert that into today’s currency, that would be about $2,116.94.
Unlike the iMac of today, the Apple-1 was not ready to simply plugin and use.
Imagine an Apple fanboi buying an Apple-1 back in 1976. After waiting in line all night, he would leave the store with his new Apple-1, but would need to go home, add a case, power supply transformers, power switch, ASCII keyboard, and composite video display before booting it up.
Here’s an advertisement of the Apple-1 from 1976:

Yup.
That’s it.
A far cry from where Apple is today.

I wondered if anyone would notice that – LOL!
