Let’s try something different (after all, Friday’s are for fun, right?)
I know that a number of us are working on a variety of projects. Some are front-end web development, some are server-side applications, and others are lower level (like digital signal processing).
As soon as you get a chance, stop whatever it is that you’re doing and paste the last line of code (that can be publicly shared :)). that you wrote. Bonus points if you share what you’re working on.
I’ll go first. This is for Live Theme:
[cc lang=”javascript”]
$(‘#’ + sPageContainerId).toggle().addClass(‘active-page’).children(‘:first’).show();
[/cc]
Your turn!
Michael Novotny says
public function get preferredDepth() : Number
{
return Number.MAX_VALUE;
}
Michael Novotny says
Of course, the last line I wrote had to be boring when I read this… *sigh*
Tom says
You’re a flash dev, right? Aren’t they all boring? π
Michael Novotny says
Don’t hate!
John Saddington says
if ($list && $i < count($list)) { echo "",count($list)-$i,' more available...';
}
or………

John Saddington says
oh, and this is for customizing APC for our opcode cacheing system across 8bit.
Tom says
Thanks for doing that. The sites seem extraordinarily slow.
Or not π
Jeremy says
The last line? That would be
}
Tom says
you == comedian
Bill Gregg says
repossessionViewModel.Approval = new RepossessionViewModel.ApprovalModel()
{
ApprovedBy = message.ApprovedBy,
ApprovedDtm = message.ApprovedDtm,
};
repossessionViewModel.SaveAndFlush();
Tom says
Reads easily enough … what are you working on?
Shawn says
Last line, huh?
done
Bash scripts are so boring. π
Tom says
LOL – that’s a little more interesting than Jeremy’s ‘{‘ up there π
aaron says
$services = ‘tweet,facebook_like,email,more’;
$services = explode(‘,’,$services);
return theme(‘addthis_toolbox’,$services);
for an addthis toolbox on article pages.
Tom says
Shouldn’t that last sentence be a comment? π
I kid. I’m lame.
Jared Erickson says
I will follow the rules and do the last line:
add_meta_box(“team_info_meta”, “Team Info”, “team_info_meta”, “people”, “side”, “low”);
Tom says
That looks like something you’d write. :sigh:
jared.folkins says
Wow, first Jay now Jared? TomTheFarmer may just get the Negative Nancy award today π
Tom says
They both had it comin’
jared.folkins says
$button = Aby::testButtons(‘TestSignupButton’,array(‘button_red_signup_loud.png’,’button_red_signup_soft.png’), array(‘conversion’=>’signup’);
Tom says
What are you working on?
jared.folkins says
A couple things, but the last line I wrote was for my a/b testing extension that I have been working on. Her name is “Aby” as in “Abbey road is an amazing Beatles Album”.
What was the surprise, was that I thought you would harp on me for missing a paren. It sucked cause I almost, ALMOST, allowed my ego to change it. But I couldn’t do it, I had to post the last line I wrote, even if it was a #fail. π
Ben Miller says
return ”.join(varcode_list)
Just a quick Python script to generate a random string. Experimenting.
sokkz says
SMO -C 1.0 -L 0.0010 -P 1.0E-12 -N 0 -V -1 -W 1 -K
It’s a configuration string for a machine learning model. =( The goal was to determine people’s approval (or disapproval) of movies based on raw text dumps of movie reviews. After I entered it…
The machine learning application locked up for 30 minutes and utilized 1 and a half cores of my MBP’s processor, plus 100% of the RAM and a page file from here to Texas. [Angry face.] Apparently the model environment was made by someone who doesn’t understand user interaction, because it also didn’t give me any feedback for that 30 minutes. (Yeah, none at all. Just locked up for 30 minutes then dumped a result.) Can we say “epic fail?”
Tom says
This comment got caught in the spam filter (likely because of the config string ;)), so I didn’t see it until now.
No feedback and poor memory management? Sounds like something hacked together by straight up C programmers π
