The Vimeo iPhone app is here!
They’re promising even more features in the future, which is pretty impressive considering the list of features is already pretty dang exciting.
This is what you get:
The whole Vimeo expereince
- Watch and manage all your existing Vimeo videos and download them to your camera roll
- Easily upload your raw footage or edited creations in HD or SD
- Pause and resume uploads
- Replace existing videos
- Edit title, description, tags, privacy and credits
- Share with Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, WordPress, Email or SMS
- Add your clips to your Groups, Channels and Albums
- Stats on daily plays, likes and comments
That’s all to be expected, right?
Here’s the cool junk:
Easy video editor
- Capture video with focus control and grid alignment
- Combine, edit, and trim your videos
- Add transitions, titles, and effects
- Add music and recordings
- Control volume levels
- Save edited videos to your camera roll or upload directly to Vimeo
This was certainly worth the wait, but how much is going to cost you?
🙂

I think they did a great job releasing it as a complete app. I know others have just released apps and then used upgrades to complete the app.
But the vimeo app seems to be well thought out and well put together.
here is my only problem with it.
Yesterday I tried to upload a video to it and it took probably 2 and half hours. now that is typical with vimeo if you are not a plus member. But one of the main reasons I became a plus member was for the fast upload time.
Essentially the app is made for uploading videos to vimeo. In that area i think they have some work to do.

Totally agree with you.
Thanks for sharing your experience, man! It’s helpful to everyone.
Do you think your wireless bandwidth was an issue at all?

I used it 2 days ago for the first time and was pretty impressed. In fact, I used it to post yesterdays Video Month In Review on my blog.
I was a bit underwhelmed in the actual editing of the video. There were various glitches and things that just didn’t work right. All in all though, I think I will be using this a lot in the future.
