Have you ever heard of native advertising?
Before reading this infographic below, I had not. It’s a very curious concept to me, as the traditional banner ad has really lost its effectiveness.
In comparison, the click-through rate in 2000 for banner ads was 9%, in 2012 the click-through rate has dropped to .2%.
Now that may seem really low, but for those that know a thing or two about web ads, this isn’t too bad of a click rate.
What this does tell us, however, is that there is plenty of room for more effective advertising. That’s where native advertising comes in:

If you’re running a blog or do any kind of online advertising, I’m sure you’ll find this interesting. However, I am also interested in how the Church can use this kind of marketing know-how in spread the Gospel and advertising churches and ministries in general.
