Band in Hand – The Easiest Way to Add to Your Worship Band

I’m a worship nerd-tech-geek. I freely admit that.

I love the intersect of worship and music with all things tech. And it’s only getting better.

I can remember when PowerPoint and a projector were about as high tech as you could get. Now we’ve got presentation software, triple wide screens, and environmental projection. We’ve got computers on the stage, lighting sequences, and worship loops.

Technology has really improved how we worship. And I love it.

As a worship leader, I’m always looking for the next greatest piece of technology that will help take my team to the next level without getting too technical. And I think I’ve came across a new platform that can transform any worship band.

iPhone 5: “What’s up Dock?”

We don’t know if the rumors are true, yet, but it looks like Apple will be ditching their old faithful dock connector.

Much like the glue and solder built MacBook Pro, Apple’s getting flack for this design decision and it’s only a rumor!

Back when I was in my high school age years, I was involved in drama.

My family would faithful attend performances over the years, and without fail, my Dad would video tape — yes tape — the entire performance.

It was awesome. Not only could I see how well I did following the performance, I now have those videos to share with my kids.

However, I’ll never forget my last performance.

Every Church Should Consider Apple TV

Did you know that you can wirelessly mirror the screen of an iPad or iPhone via an Apple TV? Did you know that soon you’ll be able to do the same with your Mac?

Well now you do!

iPads, iPhones and (soon) Macs are all able to wirelessly mirror their displays via an Apple TV and present their displays on any screen, monitor or projector attached to that Apple TV, all you need is a wireless network to connect to and you’re off. It is so easy and so cheap (only $100 for the Apple TV + an HDMI cable) to implement with so many advantages, that any church would be crazy not to connect an Apple TV to a projector or TV.
