VLC iPhone App Releases, Save You Time

VLC has, for a long time, been one of the best media players out there. It is open source and can play nearly every format of video available.

A few days ago, an iPhone version of the software was released into the app store. It was originally an app for the iPad and has now migrated to the iPhone. It plays almost every video format out there straight off of your iPhone. It also has the option to delete videos straight from the app.

Sweet! So now you don’t have to spend hours turning that awesome movie into an mp4 just so you can watch it!

Easily Accept Credit Cards with Square’s iPhone app

I’m sure you’ve had a situation like this before:

  • Let’s say your church is having a BBQ to raise money for the youth group’s mission trip to Guatemala next year.
  • Let’s also say the local volunteer fire department shows up and wants to buy 20 of everything but they don’t have cash, only a credit card.
  • Let’s say that you didn’t have a solution.
  • Doh!

Most churches would have to turn them away but with Square’s iPhone app and credit card reader you can accept a credit card just like you accept cash.

Sure, the notes app looks nice and works as it should, but that’s about it.

PlainText is an iPhone app that looks nice and has a Dropbox syncing feature. Take notes, make to do lists, reminders or write anything else just like you would on the notes app, except this time it is instantly in sync with your computer.

Or edit on your computer and it syncs with your iphone. The app runs smoothly, looks nice, and keeps the simplicity of the iPhone and the original notes app. There is a free (ad-supported) version or an ad-free version for $5.

Definitely worth it if you’re a big Dropbox user!

Multitasking on the iPad Now, Only $11.00!

With the introduction of the iPhone 4 and it’s awesome multitasking power, all of us iPad owners were asking, where is the love Steve?!

Well the love was packaged up and left for November sometime. Want the multitasking now? Want it on our iPad? Well now is your chance.
