If you haven’t kept up with the cross-platform app, Pearltrees, now’s the time.

Think of Pearltrees like Facebook for bookmarks … on steroids.  It allows you to graphically organize your web bookmarks into trees and share them with the world.  And just recently they announced the new iPhone app has arrived, and apps for other phones are in the works!  But the real power of Pearltrees is not in saving bookmarks for later – its in their use of real-time collaboration to enhance everything from vacation to Church ministry.

Amazon Instant Video Now Available On iPad

Admittedly, I thought this would never happen. With Amazon releasing their own tablet and Apple’s investment in the iTunes store, it seemed like a long shot.

I am a huge fan of Amazon Prime. It costs $79 a year. The biggest benefit is the free 2 day shipping offered on any purchases that are fulfilled by Amazon. It also includes the ability “borrow” Kindle books (assuming the desired title has that availability) but also provides access to Amazon’s instant streaming service of movies and television shows. You can get all the equivalent of $6.58 a month which is quite the bargain.

After a long wait, Amazon instant video is now available on the iPad.

WordPress for iOS Updated to 3.0

I get so excited when I see that little badge icon indicating that I have apps to update on my iPhone!

It’s like a mini-Christmas, yeah? You know what I’m talking about, right? Ok, maybe it’s just me.

Either way, I got a little something dropped into my iOS stocking a week or so ago—the newest version of WordPress for iOS!

I love this powerful, free app. I have all of my blogs loaded in this app which means that I’m only ever a few gestures away from a blog post.

An App to Connect with Parishioners

If you’re a church pastor or leader, how often do you meet your parishioners for lunch?

If you’re like me, the answer is not nearly enough.  Part of that is the size of the church, part of that is our busy schedules, and part of that is the ease of setting lunch dates up to begin with.

I can’t do much about the first two of those problems for you, but here’s something that might help the third.

A new app built using the LinkedIn api, called LunchMeet, seeks to make it easy for you to set up lunch meetings with your professional contacts.  The best part is it’s free!
