Admittedly, I thought this would never happen. With Amazon releasing their own tablet and Apple’s investment in the iTunes store, it seemed like a long shot.
I am a huge fan of Amazon Prime. It costs $79 a year. The biggest benefit is the free 2 day shipping offered on any purchases that are fulfilled by Amazon. It also includes the ability “borrow” Kindle books (assuming the desired title has that availability) but also provides access to Amazon’s instant streaming service of movies and television shows. You can get all the equivalent of $6.58 a month which is quite the bargain.
After a long wait, Amazon instant video is now available on the iPad.
Amazon continually adds more titles.
A year ago they were at 5,000 and now have 20,000 so there is plenty of choices whether it’s television shows or movies. So if you have Prime and an iPad, get thee over to the iTunes store and install it!
