YouTube Begins Running Ads via Mobile Site

Samsung has announced that they have the go-ahead to begin advertising via their handsets on YouTube’s mobile site:

The YouTube mobile advertising forms part of a wider marketing launch campaign for Samsung’s Galaxy Tab, which will run across in-game advertising with PlayStation, online search and display, mobile advertising, outdoor and print.

I do not own a Samsung handset but was hoping someone in the community here does and could throw me a few screenshots?

Love to see this in action and see how it executes. Anyone?

Google Releases Mobile Management for Android

Last week Google announced the mobile management tool that they’ve created for Google Apps which now includes Android!

Downloadable app and everything! Historically they’ve suppored BlackBerry, Apple IOS, Windows Mobile, etc. so this nicely rounds out the offering.

This is also a strategic move since Android’s native security and management have been in serious want. Android is becoming more of a competitor every single day.

What if Keyboards Were Built for Mobile Devices, Originally?

Wow. This is an unbelievable idea: The 8Pen:

The 8pen allows for the replacement of the conventional keyboard on all devices capable of detecting gestures, in particular mobile phones with touch screens, modern remote controls or game controllers.

Its advantage lies mainly in the fact that it is possible to input text faster than using conventional layouts on small devices, while at the same time mimicking human hand-writing.

Moreover, the simplicity of the gestures involved greatly reduces the problem of mistyping that frequently occurs with the classical layout due to the lack of space.

For the same reason, it is possible to write without viewing, as only the central region is needed as a reference for starting and ending a movement.

Android-only, for now. Revolutionary? Very possible.

Happy OnStar Lady: Don’t worry, OnStar (or one of our affiliate local partners who we pay a lot of money since you pay us a lot of money) will be there shortly!
Sad Woman: So thankful! You guys are amazing!
Happy OnStar Lady: Awesome! Can we use this in a radio, tv, internet advertisement?
Sad Woman: Sure!

Right? (That’s my interpretation of what’s going on, apparently it’s a really good service, that OnStar thing).

Playstation + Android = Mobile Phone? Sweet!

I love me some Playstation!

The device is headed into the market soon, likely boasting Android 3.0 (aka Gingerbread), along with a custom Sony Marketplace which will allow you to purchase and download games designed for the new platform.

The device is sporting a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655, 512MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM, and the screen is in the range of 3.7 to 4.1 inches.

Sweet! A perfect gift… for me!
