I would definitely define a part of what I do as freelancing in the ministry segment and space – it’s a different life and it’s fun (and challenging) to mix up the demands of non-profits and other small businesses while considering the spiritual side of things.
Our needs from a technological perspective aren’t that much different than a freelancer that’s in other industries and market segments yet there will most certainly be a few differences – perhaps you have a Bible on your desk along with everything else you need (the Ultimate App).
So, my question is this: What apps are you using that’s really struck a fancy with you and what apps do you think “ministry freelancers” use distinctly (if any)?

I use Google Apps all the time for just about everything however, I also use an opensource project management app called “Collabtive” (http://collabtive.o-dyn.de) to help organize all my freelance projects & communicate with the clients.

That looks pretty nice. I’ve tried a few “collabware” type systems in the past and always found them way more work to try and manage than simply tending to my inbox (but then again that’s probably a good indicator I’m not a full-time freelancer with numerous clients and projects).

Google Apps for calendar, mails and documents.
For project timing & planning I use ClockingIt (www.clockingit.com).
For online support LiveZilla (http://www.livezilla.net). (This could be used by online pastors)
TweetDeck to comunicate vía twitter & facebook with personal and church accounts.

I use Things to sync to-do’s on desktop & iphone.n I know it’s not new or obscure, but it’s pretty swell for me.
