I’ve been waiting on pins and needles for the last day and half to hear John tell me the migration from ChurchMag was finished. This is no small feat.
You’re talking about moving a database of 8,000 plus posts and over 46,000 comments. I won’t even tell you haw many gigs we use for images, since you might actually stop breathing.
Hat’s-off to John for slaving away at this for the past day and half!
If you’re wondering why we’ve switched services, it’s because we’ve had some serious hiccups the past two months with our former (it feels good to say, ‘former’) server provider. John and the 8BIT team threw in a number of different names and services, and after talking with a few different companies, the decision was very clear.
ChurchMag is proud to say that we are now hosted by FireHost!
FireHost
They have some awesome customer support, great equipment, and top notch security. FireHost is not for the faint of heart!
FireHost also serves:
- Gravity
- LogLogic
- Page.ly
- 960.gs
- More!
I’m glad we’re fully back and shouldn’t have to worry about having anymore ‘blackouts.’
If you want some serious hosting, check-out FireHost. You won’t be disappointed.

Cool beans. I had a similar situation a few years ago, with a host that did a bunch of stupid things, and when they deleted the wrong account, I decided that enough was enough and moved my hosting elsewhere.

Deleted an account!?!
