This perfect for the outdoors-man who can’t go outdoors?
Please, someone help me understand this.
Made by Bubble Tree, there are two options:
- BubbleRoom
This one has a translucent bottom half that give bubble people some moderate privacy. - CristalBubble
Completely see-through from the ground-up!
The floor diameter is 13 feet and has enough room to house five people. You can even combine bubbles!
You can add a smaller bubble to upgrade to a BubbleLodge or add another full-sized bubble and hang-out in a GrandLodge.
The bubbles manage to hold the shape of, well, a bubble thanks to an electric turbine that keeps the structure optimally inflated. The blower is silent and runs the air through a filter that supposedly removes all bugs, moisture and allergens. That fresh air, along with the bubble’s ultraviolet-proof plastic, helps moderate temperatures and keeps the greenhouse effect in check.
The CristalBubble with removable wood floor, air turbine and carrying case: about $10,000.
Why? I have no idea.

Just add a decontamination chamber right before you enter and Bubble Boy would have been able to touch his girlfriend without having to risk it all when he left the house. 🙂 LOL

I did a double-take when I saw this blog post’s title and a triple-take when I saw the images that accompanied it. What?! It looks like something out of a science-fiction tale or some sort of movie (that one with John Travolta comes to mind). I, personally, would get super creeped out hanging out in a completely see-through bubble. Ick.

Ick, indeed. Unless you needed it for medical reasons, it’s just kinda weird.

Normally, it’s nicer to just be completely outdoors or completely indoors. However, a bubble could provide a nice halfway point in certain cases: a pleasant, fully-surrounding outdoor view without the annoyance of mosquitos, rain, or excessive heat or cold. A bubble could be much nicer than a tent for stargazing. Hopefully the material doesn’t get scratched up and become less transparent with use.

This reminds me of camping in an RV.
