Hah.
Guess what? There’s an unpatched vulnerability out there for IE6, 7, and 8.
Lame. I can’t imagine how many of us visited family over the holidays and had to use their machines that run that poopy browser. Time to rock the “Turn Off Internet Explorer” option in Windows 7:

I so want to do this, but I have to use IE for school. Lame.

I use Chrome as default on all my computers. However, I am still required to use IE from time to time due to enterprise apps that aren’t standards compliant and only support IE. 🙁 Thankfully Fusion works like a champ.

I’ve been beta testing 9 for a couple months now and I rather like it. It does have a few small bugs that prevent it from working correctly in all sites. Some other sites still need to update their code since IE9 is a standards compliant browser and they just see the IE and think that it’s something older and not standards compliant. Through most uses, it’s faster than Chrome 8 and Firefox 3.6, I haven’t benched it against the Firefox 4 beta yet. I stopped using Chrome nearly all together after the last update when it decided instead of following links, it would try and download them.
My impression of IE9 so far, while it has some ground to make up and improvements still need to be made, it is a huge step in the right direction for Microsoft.

cloudshare.com, and run IE on a vm when you have to deal with a bank or goobermint that uses Internet Exploder.

I’m not a religious kind but this reminder is so-so-so precious, and I’d just love if any of my friends, clients, family, lovers etc. would just DARE and KNOW to ask for more than that sneaky-lost browser.
I’ve spend lots of hours trying to convince people that IE sucks no matter how well BING does the job (wich also sucks), and just to take a little time to try something else, something they’d definitely like after the first impression.
Although I pass most of the “let’s pray” and ministry phrases, I must bow down to your blog, it’s amazing how many interesting things I’ve found here.
Congrats and A way-better 2011!
