The iTwin is an interesting mix of a personal cloud, USB drive and remote access.
iTwin
This is how it works:
- Plug the iTwin into your USB port.
- Select what files/folders you want to share via the iTwin.
- Detach one half and plug into another computer.
- Access your files, as files are transferred securely via the Internet.
The iTwin website puts it best,
Like the two ends of a cable, without the cable.
iTwin is secure via an AES 256-bit encrypted, the size limit is based on your physical hard drive size, and if you lose one of the halves, iTwin will deactivate it and you can get a replacement for $50.
iTwin is reasonably priced at $99.

This is about the coolest (practical) thing I’ve seen in a long time! As a volunteer I primarily work at home but attend church staff meetings, and collaborate with others on multiple projects. I have a PC at home and carry a netbook with me – and sometimes end up with multiple versions of documents, projects, etc. – I LOVE that for $100 I can access what’s on my home PC from anywhere with an internet connection. No monthly fees… no storage limits… WOW!

Home run all around — woot!
