With all this talk about web management, people management, and financial management, it can be easy to lose focus. Losing focus on what’s really important, losing focus on what our goal and purpose really is.
People.
It’s easy to get caught-up in numbers. The number of page views, the number of Sunday morning visitors, and the number of regular tithers.
The City by Zondervan has shared an excellent hour-long presentation titled, Closing the Back Door: It’s Not about Numbers, It’s about People.
“Assimilation” means different things to different churches and the assimilation process often varies greatly from church to church as well. In this installment of our complimentary The City Conversations series, Eric Tuininga, Regional Manager for The City, will discuss the point of assimilation, where it begins and ends, and how The City is helping churches through assimilation to connect with more people in meaningful ways. Eric will share best practices from large and small churches across the country like Seacoast Church, Austin Stone Community Church, and more.
A whole hour seems pretty long, but you can always put this in the background while you work. Rearrange your desktop windows if you have to. It’s important we keep focused on The Mission.
If you found this enlightening or helpful, be sure to share it with others!
