I was asked recently what I thought about privacy as it concerns blogs and blog content. I gave this person a few thoughts but I’d love to hear what the community here thinks about it.
Do you have any privacy policies, either for the business and/or you personally? Is this necessary? Are there a number of things assumed due to the medium?
Knock it out in the comments. If there’s enough one way I’ll craft something for the community to share.
I’m in the process of handing a lot of equipment back since I’m leaving my full time position today and I asked a fellow Apple user how to best clear out personal information and make sure they were completely gone after I’ve deleted the files.
He smiled, quickly walked over to my desk, and walked me through the Disk Utility feature which completely erases deleted files for maximum security and peace of mind.

We blogged about VaultPress when it first was announced months ago and I just got an invite (finally!) to try out the service.

Good questions.
Apparently some brilliant Georgia Tech “researches” have developed a way to beat censorship via Flickr and Twitter:
The tool, which is implemented in Python and uses the OutGuess framework, relies on a technique known as steganography to weave hidden messages into an image file. It uses an automated testing tool called Selenium to facilitate the deployment of the messages.
The researchers believe that hiding subversive messages inside content that is indistinguishable from legitimate social network activity will reduce the chances of detection.
I personally think this is really neat although the law-abiding citizen in me is being jabbed.
