You ever notice how conferences are like Halloween for adults?
You walk around the expo center seeing what kind of free stuff you can get from each booth. One booth might have full sized candy bars to pull you in, while another booth might have free pizza cutters to give away.
But let’s be honest: You can’t resist free stuff, and free stuff gets the most people to their booth. Well, that was so two years ago, now booths use technology to get people to stop and listen…
iPads Always Grab Attention
The iPad has been out for a little over a month. No matter if it is an over sized iPhone or an expensive name tag, it has not kept companies from using it to advertise their product.
Walk through any convention center expo area and you will see booths displaying their logo and product on flat screens, iMac’s and now iPads. What better way to draw an audience to you with a brand new toy? Companies have put together PDF’s that walk you through their content, made keynote presentations to demo their products and have even hold contest to give away the iPad they are using to show off their stuff.
This is another way of leveraging technology to share a message. As technology continues to grow and change, companies are finding ways to share ideas in new and creative ways.
And expect to see it happen at conferences…!

You know, I wonder how much good signage costs? I mean the purchase of a $499 iPads, good give you unlimited signage for events for days/month/years to come. Good ideas.

I agree with you on that! save the tree’s haha.. I think right now it can be worthwhile.. sense a lot of people have not even had their hands on one yet.. it brings them closer just to see it.
