I receive multiple guest post requests every week for ChurchMag.
I’ve had ridiculously awesome requests, those that pour their entire heart and soul into it. Spam requests, “You have dynamically fresh content and a web design like no other.” And requests that fall in between.
Here’s an entertaining infographic on mistakes you can avoid when inquiring about guest posts, on blogs in general, and what kind of authors ChurchMag is looking for:

I’ve seen my share of those examples, but let me tell you a little more specifically what I’m looking for on ChurchMag.
Real people.
Yup. I’m looking for real people.
Everyday people who are in the trenches of Church and technology. People who love the intersection of Church and technology. From fun posts to the very serious, we want it (and even pay for it). Your experience, insight and perspective is highly valued. ChurchMag is a community, and the best way to engage in it — besides in the comments — is by writing guest posts.
Here’s how you can get started.
I look forward to hearing from you!

Some great tips Eric! For ChurchMag, I’d suggest expanding #5 to having connections with regular contributors. Connections aren’t necessary, but they can certainly help! If you #5 doesn’t work, #9 is your go-to. (Which happens to be the route I took when coming to ChurchMag!) 🙂
