It’s really the only appropriate way to start a blog, especially one that’s going to be focusing on software development and the like.
So there: Hello World!
We’re excited about this somewhat experimental step into a sphere that’s relatively untapped but has huge potential. We’re not sure where it’ll go or what will come out of it but we’re willing to try it out anyway.
So let’s hear your thoughts. What would you like to see on this blog?

Looking forward to some good stuff from here! I’ll be curious to see, for starters, what WordPress plugin (if any) you use to display your code. Good luck with the new venture!

Thanks Steven!
As we get ramped up, we’re planning to also be transparent on the stuff we use here on Co.de and some of the other projects we’re working on.

Welcome, ChurchCode! I’m very excited about this blog. I’m strictly a hobbyist/volunteer in the area of computer programming (my day job is programming machine controllers using ladder logic and function block diagram), and I’m always looking to learn new things. Mostly I dabble in PHP/Javascript for web design, but I’m also learning Python. I would love to see examples of innovative ways churches are using custom code on the web. WordPress theme and plugin design is another big area of interest for me.

Thanks! This is exactly the kind of stuff we’re looking to hear from the community on what to include.
Also, props to you for programming machine controllers. I had a year of systems courses during college where I did just enough circuit design and programming to know that it was absolutely not what I wanted to do ;).
