Up top is Healing Place Church’s new iCampus Experience which is leveraging LifeChurch.tv’s online platform.
With a little CSS and skinning magic it looks pretty good from the original but still very similar:
Pretty nice of LifeChurch to give their platform away to another ministry!
You can follow Healing Place Church’s online endeavors at their blog. They are launching October 4th!
So, what do you think?

Thanks for the shout out John! We've been blessed to be able to work with the LifeChurch.tv team and are excited about the launch of our Online Campus. It's a huge opportunity for us and such an honor and privilege to be a part of what the [C]hurch is doing online to reach hurting people.
P.S. I've been following what the web team at NorthPoint has been doing and it rocks! Keep up the good work.

Trying not to put a damper on all the church love sharing going on here (I do think it is awesome that lifechurch shared this) but as a developer yourself and a developer of an online church service platform, do this bother you to share with another church?
I think I know the answer, but I just wondered if anyone was going to raise up some questions about this all (for example, spec work)
Eric Granata says
I don't know that I would equate this with spec work and I'm not sure why it would bother any church to share with another church as long as they (the churches doing the giving) are, in Craig Groeschel's words, "Kingdom Minded."
klreed189 says
It shouldn't bother a church, but I can see some people not liking the fact that they are just using someone else design. It might be like when churches just used can material from lifechurch instead of developing their own stuff. I am just throwing it out there, I really have no problem with it. It is like all of using Johns online business card. It is a great design, he gave it away for free, and we are all happy to use it.
I was just wondering if anyone would have a problem with them using it?
Graham Brenna says
I agree with Eric. I think as long as the church using the template is "kingdom minded" that it's all for the glory of God. This goes to the whole church competition thing. If we're focusing our time on who can build the better online church instead of who can effectively bring more people to God then we're in the wrong business.
klreed189 says
I totally agree, it should not be a competition at all. We should share all of our resources.
But it seems that a lot of places say that and yet do not practice this belief.
I wish we shared everything (building, resources, thoughts) and I am glad lifechurch is opening this up, it is going to provide so many churches the ability to do church online. I just wonder if anyone is going to say anything about this.
I am not trying to say that it is a competition and we should keep everything to ourselves. I was just throwing the question out there and get some feedback.
Thanks for the replies
Graham Brenna says
I gotcha. Good question 😉

I think this is great, and I hope that LifeChurch.tv will continue to work with other Churches that begin building online campuses. As Christians we are all working together to share Christ with others, and I am glad to see they understand this.

So very excited about the launch of Healing Place’s on-line campus and the overwhelming possibility of reaching so many people with the love of Christ. We are grateful for this amazing opportunity and can’t wait to use this technology to reach out to a lost and dying world with the hope that only comes through Jesus Christ.

john – thanks for posting about the launch, and even more so for spotlighting the way lifechurch.tv has yet again shown what really can be done when the [C]hurch works together rather than competes with each other. their kindness is overwhelming – and that's a refreshing thing. it does feel weird to be on the receiving end of something like this, but we're terribly grateful and our launch team has been praying for the lifechurch.tv team – that God will continue to bless them like crazy.
we're honored to be joining some great churches that have already blazed much of the trail ahead of us in online church – and i just want to say thank you to all of you. we've gained so much because of what you've done. and our prayer is that in the end, a whole lotta people will be in heaven as a result. that's really what matters.
thanks for the post, john.

sure thing dan! are you coming to catalyst? we should meet up.

Just thinking about "our" thoughts, creativity, imagination and abilities. Is ANY of it "ours" to give? We own nothing. We steward everything. There is no issue here. This is the Church being the Church. It's really that simple. Hats off to lifechurch for recognizing this in so many areas of their ministry.
