It’s the Happy Hacking Keyboard, known in Japan as the PFU HHKB, and it’s specifically designed to – well – hack!
It’s super quiet, designed to be more comfortable and built for faster typing.
I understand how they could make it quiet, but more comfortable and faster?
I guess you would have to try one to really know.
My favorite part about this Happy Hacking Keyboard is how it looks:
At $370, I wonder if it does the hacking for you?

It’s easy to get a keyboard more comfortable and to type faster. Good key spacing helps with comfort to an amazing ability, and good spacing for this is not even.
There are several things that can be done to get you to type faster. On the hardware side, mechanical keys do wonders. The best thing that I did was get a natural keyboard. The spacing coached me to use my fingers on the keys they were meant to be used on because the gap between the two halves of the keyboard was too much to reach across. It’s helped on every keyboard that I’ve used since.
No way I’d spend $370 on a keyboard; unless it kept my coffee warm and let me type with my mind. It’s just way too much. I don’t consider keyboards without arrow keys, or 10 key. If it forces a dependency on a mouse for basic navigation, I won’t use it.
