Granger Community Church has started testing their version of an iCampus and it looks great.
Above you’ll see the landing page and after logging in (requires email address, which is interesting) you’ll be kicked over to a popup (ewww…?) with some really cool functionalities and features.
I’ll save my breath and just give you the screens:
What do you think? Check out that audience panel; that’s pretty neat.
WTG guys!
Jim says
just checked it out…wonder how long it will take a 100 person body to develop this
Brad Ruggles says
Yeah, was in there earlier myself checking it out. I wasn’t crazy about the pop-up either but most everything else was pretty sweet. I really loved the audience/who’s here/map features. They did a great job.
Brad Ruggles says
Weird, when I left that comment the IntenseDebate plugin wasn't working. It was just a normal comment field. huh.

the thing I wonder is this – is the online campus thing people are doing only for the live event? My feeling is that you ought to be able to tap into the previous experience up until the next one starts…

on demand video is definitely a conversation piece.
stephenbateman says
whew that looks good.
@mikebone says
do you know – is this all custom or are they using a certain company/product?
i wish there were easier & less expensive ways to do this. maybe as it gets more popular that will happen.
human3rror says
long term, i think so.
Tim Bednar says
What I'm wonder is why none of this is open source GPL code — or why no one is doing a hosted version of this. Or is there?
stephenbateman says
good question..
human3rror says
let's build one.
Michael Holmes says
That is un-flipping believable! I love it! So user- friendly, so sleek, so modern…fantastic. I really hope they see a hundred-fold blessing on that investment. Great post John
human3rror says
i agree. let's hope!

Looks interesting. But what's with your bagging of membership requirements on another post while you simply ignore it here. YOU need to remember that different sites have different needs and not be so quick to bag how people do things. Peace.
human3rror says
there were a few hurdles to that campus, yes. and yes, if i had more time to blog about it other than screenshots i would have mentioned that.
good catch tho.
