In the United States, Google Chrome is on the rise, while Microsoft’s Internet Explorer is trending it’s way below 50%! Firefox has slipped a little, but still holding a little over 20% of the market. Meanwhile, in Europe, Firefox has already taken the lead over Explorer.
Designers, take note.
Since Chrome and Safari render the same, it’s as if Google has piggy-backed its way up the browser hierarchy. With ChromeOS around the corner, we could see Chrome surpass Safari altogether and stand on its own from a development standpoint.
Microsoft will have to count on IE9 to turn the tide, but while IE is getting bulkier and browsers like Chrome are getting more streamline, we can see that users want to see less of their browser and more of the Internet.

You can’t spell DIE without IE.
Eric Dye says
Brilliant.
True.
LOL!
Lars Miller says
Can’t wait for IE to just go away all together. It’s hard to take things to the next level when there’s something pulling you back.
Eric Dye says
I know, right?
IE9’s HTML5 support is worthless.
Eric J says
In my dreams everyone gets together and agrees to use webkit, i know it would never happen but can dream right?
Eric Dye says
Keep dreaming, Eric. We’re dreaming right along with you.
